Elementary School Dress Code 2008-2009
The Baldwin
County Board of Education approved a mandatory dress code for all
Baldwin County elementary schools beginning the 2008-2009 school year.
Students are expected to wear uniforms Monday-Thursday. Students may have
free dress on Fridays. However, Friday’s attire must be in compliance with the
standard schools' dress code.
Solid-colored polo shirts, dress shirts, blouses, or turtlenecks: school
colors such as purple, green, burgundy, navy, light blue, white, and
red
shirt-tails must be tucked
in pants, shorts, or skirts
Solid-colored skirts, shorts, skorts, or dresses: khaki, blue, or black
only finger-tip length or
longer allowed
Solid-colored pants: khaki, blue, or black
tears and rips are not
allowed
belts must be worn
Shoes: tennis shoes are preferred
Attire not Permitted
Clothing that contains
inappropriate language and pictures
Trousers/shorts with writing
across the derriere
Heeleys or any other roller
skating shoes
Hats or head wraps
Flip-flops
High heels or wedged heels
Halter tops, tube tops, spaghetti straps, tank tops
Uniform attire may be found at the following stores:
Belk, JCPenny, Wal-Mart, Target (Macon), Burlington Coat Factory (Macon),
and Kohl’s (Macon)
