INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM
The Kindergarten instructional program follows the guidelines published by the Georgia Department of Education. Instructional time is spent in individual and group work, oral language experiences, and in the socialization processes.
The curriculum in grades 1-5 consists of mathematics, science, social studies, health, and language arts (reading, composition, grammar, spelling, and handwriting.) The students are constantly using the Accelerated Reader Program to practice their reading skills. The students will also be using Compass Learning Computerized Instruction.
Second Step and No Bullying, violence prevention programs, as well as Drug Resistance Awareness Programs are incorporated in the curriculum.
Music, P. E., Art and Computer Instruction are also incorporated into our curriculum.
